Scientific diver taking data underwater

This internship is a marine conservation oriented PADI Divemaster course and internship. During a few months, you will be part of Slow Dive staff and participate to all activities : assist in dive courses, participate to marine conservation dives, guide certified divers, and learn everything about the scuba diving industry.

If you stay longer than 1 month, you have the possibility to volunteer in our coral restoration dives provided you participate in all the work : loading and unloading the boat, guiding clients in Snorkeling, helping with the construction of marine conservation structures on land, leading education days for young people or children, etc., depending on our needs. You can dive after or during the Divemaster course as many times as you want depending on our availability, as a volunteer and help us with dives and marine conservation activities. If you speak English and Spanish, and if you’re not afraid to carry tanks, store, clean equipment, paint etc, it’s even better! But everyone does according to their strengths and possibilities. Above all, we are looking for motivated people who are not afraid to work hard and with flexible hours, and who can quickly integrate into a multi-cultural team.

If you are already a CMAS 3* or equivalent from another federation, this can be a good option to enter in the PADI system and get more experience if you want to become a PADI instructor later. If you are a student in marine biology, oceanography, or any related field, or would like to work in the marine conservation or scientific diving, this internship could be a great experience for conservation oriented scuba diving, and the PADI Divemaster certification can be very useful for any future job that includes scuba diving.
